     1970 Buick GS Stage 1 

  • Stage 1 455 360 hp, 510 ft-lbs of torque
  • 4-speed, 3.42 posi rearend
  • Loaded with factory options: PS, PDB, A/C, bucket seats, console, AM/FM radio w/rear seat speaker, vinyl top, rally gauges, raised white letter tires, Rallye ride suspension (front and rear sway bars), P-windows, P-locks, P-bucket seat, California emissions.
  • Sold new at Hamilton Buick, Van Nuys Blvd, in Van Nuys, CA, Fall of 1969

    

 

    1968 Chevelle 300 2-door sedan
  • Fathom Blue exterior
  • Black all vinyl interior with bench seat
  • Rubber mat interior (no carpet)
  • Radio delete
  • 327 ci / 325 hp L79
  • M20 4-speed
  • 3.73 12-bolt rearend
  • Built at Fremont, CA assembly plant
  • Frame-off restoration completed April 2004

     1968 Chevelle SS 396 4-speed

  • 396 ci 350 hp
  • Muncie 4-speed
  • 3.55 12-bolt rearend
  • Power Steering

  • AM/FM radio w/rear seat speaker
  • original red exterior and red interior car

    1967 GTO convertible

     It was found behind a barn and purchased for $200.

  • 400 ci 335 hp
  • 400 THM automatic transmission
  • 3.36 rearend gears
  • Power Steering
  • Power Disc Brakes
  • Center Console
  • Speed-alert speedometer, low fuel warning light & clock
  • Hood tachometer
  • Sold new at Beaman Pontiac in Nashville, TN in Oct 1966

 

The car is driven regularly by it's lady owner and was even driven on the first 3 days of the 2003 Hot Rod Power Tour.  The car is not a trailer queen and is being enjoyed. It currently has well over 7,000 miles since the restoration was completed. In July 2004 this car was driven 1,148 miles round trip to the 2004 GTOAA Nationals in Pontiac, MI without a problem. If something happens it can always be brought back from the dead, again!

Sheet metal that was replaced: 1 full 1/4 panel (LH), 1 partial 1/4 panel, complete trunk floor w/ all braces, complete floor pans and 1 brace, and rear tail lamp panel.

After:

Deviations from stock include gas shocks, rear sway bar, radial redline tires, AM/FM radio (dash not cut)

 

 

     1969 Chevelle SS 396

     It started as a body shell on a rolling frame, everything else was

     missing. The car underwent a full frame-off restoration.   

  • 396 ci 350 hp
  • 4-speed
  • PS, PDB, A/C
  • Tilt column and optional steering wheel
  • AM/FM Stereo & rear mounted antenna
  • Tachometer and gauges
  • original Monaco Orange exterior and white interior

 

Unfortunately we didn't have a digital camera when this car was being restored so these are currently the on ones we have in digital format I will try to contact the owner and obtain engine photos and scan them.

 

    1970 Buick GSX

     This car was restored in 1989 -1990.  These pictures were taken in

     Aug. 2004 except for the engine photo. It is a real GSX and is a

     matching numbers car. The radial tires were requested by the owner.

  • 455 Stage 1  (360 hp 510 ft-lbs torque)
  • 400 THM automatic
  • PS, PDB, A/C
  • Tilt column, cruise control, rear window defogger
  • 678 GSX's made in 1970 (187 Apollo white, 491 Saturn Yellow)

 

     1941 Buick 90 Series 

This was definitely one of the most difficult cars to restore since it was so rough and also because it was so different than a muscle car restoration.  The car has a straight 8 engine with dual carbs, 3-speed manual trans, and 2 "jump seats" in the rear that fold out for 2 additional passengers (total of eight passengers).  These pictures were taken in the Summer of 2005, 10 years after the restoration was completed. The owner of this car also owned the white 1970 GSX above.

 

 

 

     1955 Chevy 2-door post

  • Turquoise and white
  • 327 CI w/ Mickey Thompson cross ram and 2x4s
  • 400 THM automatic
  • A/C, Tilt-column, bucket seats
  • Tru-Spoke wire wheels w/ Goodyear tires

 

Going WAYYYYY back to the mid-70s.  This 1955 Chevy was the first car fully restored by George Steele. Thanks to an old friend for actually finding these old pics recently!  We have some pics of our own but none of the engine or interior. This car was sold in the late 70's to make room for the next project, a 1956 nomad.

A few years ago a relative said he had a friend that had a '55 "just like the one you had in the 70's" so we went and looked at it.  It was indeed the same car which we hadn't seen in almost 30 years!  It still looked almost identical except the interior pattern and engine had been changed.  Brought back a lot of memories!
